President Prabowo Goes Abroad, Vice President Gibran Gets Presidential Duties Until November 23

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto assigned Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to carry out the President's duties while he was carrying out overseas visits from November 8 to 23, 2024.

The assignment was determined by President Prabowo Subianto through Presidential Decree Number 31 of 2024 concerning the Assignment of Vice President to Carry out Presidential Duties, which was signed by Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta on November 8, 2024.

There are four points of provisions in the Presidential Decree that can be downloaded through the jdih.setneg.go.id page, namely:

1. Enforce the Vice President to carry out his daily duties by the provisions of the legislation as long as the President carries out state visits, official visits, and working visits to the People's Republic of China, the United States, Peru, Brazil, and Britain on November 8 to 23, 2024 or until the date of arrival back in the country.

2. If within the assignment period, a new policy needs to be determined immediately, the Vice President as the executor of the President's duties must first consult and ask for the President's approval.

3. After the President returns to his homeland, the assignment ends and the Vice President immediately reports the implementation of the task to the President.

4. This Presidential Decree comes into effect on a date set.

Presidential Decree Prabowo Subianto has been appointed in Jakarta on November 8, 2024.
