KPK Cecar Is The Wife And Child Of Lukas Enembe Regarding The Operational Fund For The Governor And Deputy Governor Of Papua

The KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the operational funds of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua 2020-2022 (doc. KPK).

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of corruption in the operational funds of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua 2020-2022. Eight witnesses, including Yulce Wenda, who is the wife of former Governor Lukas Enembe and her son, Astract Bona, were worked on by investigators on Friday, November 8, 2024.

"Investigated related to the operational funds of regional heads and representatives of Papua Province 2020-2022," said KPK Spokesperson, Tessa Mahardika, to reporters in a written statement, Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Apart from Yulce and Astract, Tessa said there were six other witnesses who were worked on. They have the initials MS, IYTY, JKT, S, AL, and MWW.

"The investigation was carried out at the Papua Regional Police," he said.

Meanwhile, from the information obtained, those examined were Muhajir Suronoto as the staff of the Papua Provincial Government Treasurer; Irianti YY Telenggen Yoman who is the Director of CV Walibhu; civil servant (PNS) Jhon Kennedy Thesia, Sahar, Anies Liando, and Magdalena W. Widayati.

Actually, the anti-corruption commission will also examine two other witnesses, namely Nopiles Gombo, who is the honorarium for the assistant treasurer of the Regional Secretary (Sekda) and Fredrik Banne as the private sector. However, both of them have died.

Previously reported, the KPK is again investigating allegations of corruption in Papua. Investigations related to operational support funds and service programs for the governor and deputy.

This case was mentioned by the Director of KPK Investigation, Asep Guntur, who said that the corruption of the Papua Governor's operational funds involving Lukas Enembe would soon go up to investigation in September 2023. The final stage of preparation has been carried out.

Lukas was already dead while his legal process was still ongoing. He breathed his last at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Jakarta, on December 26, 2023.

In an effort to investigate, investigators have conducted a search and found evidence in the form of documents and electronic evidence. This forced effort was carried out at the Papua Regional Secretary's Office (Setda) on Monday, November 4, 2024.
