KPK Checks Benoa Port Dredging Result Result Recipient Team

Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined four members of the team receiving the results of the dredging work of the Benoa Port shipping channel, Bali, as witnesses to the investigation of the alleged corruption case of the shipping lane dredging project in four ports.

"All witnesses were present and investigated regarding the process of dredging the Benoa Port channel for the 2014 fiscal year and the role of witnesses in the process," said KPK Spokesperson Team member Budi Prasetyo as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 6.

Based on the information gathered by the witnesses, members of the team receiving the results of the work of dredging the Benoa Harbor shipping channel for the 2014 fiscal year named I Wayan Suarta, Gunawan Wibisana, I Made Juni Suarnita, and I Dewa Wayan Sondika.

The witnesses underwent examination by KPK investigators at the Kuta Police on Tuesday (5/11).

During the examination schedule, KPK investigators also examined members of the ULP working group for the work package for dredging the Benoa Port pool shipping channel for the 2014 fiscal year, Nurjanna Pakpahan as a witness related to the same case.

The KPK on June 27, 2024 announced that it had started investigating the alleged corruption case of the shipping lane dredging project at four ports and named nine people as suspects in the case.

"Currently, the KPK has named nine suspects consisting of six state administrators and three from the private sector," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika.

Tessa has not been able to convey who the parties have been named as suspects, the chronology of the alleged criminal acts and the articles suspected.

This, he said, would be conveyed when the investigation was completed. Currently, the investigation is still ongoing by summoning witnesses and other investigators' actions.

He explained that the alleged corruption case occurred in the following work project:

1. The work package for dredging the shipping lanes of Tanjung Mas Port for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 fiscal years,

2. Work package for dredging the Samarinda Port shipping lane for the 2015 and 2016 fiscal years.

3. The work package for dredging the Benoa Port shipping lane for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 fiscal years.
