Many Ranmor In Matraman, Police Urge Residents To Install CCTV

The results of the investigation by the Matraman Police Criminal Investigation Unit against three suspects in the theft of a motorbike with the initials BFS alias Bintang, GHH and NAA, are recidivist similar cases.

"The three of them have been detained at the Kelapa Gading Police and the Medan Satria Police," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Matraman Police, AKP Mochamad Zen when confirmed, Monday, November 4.

The three suspects are also the same gang. The three of them are just neighbors and friends of the hangout (basecamp).

"The three perpetrators are from the Koja group, North Jakarta. They are neighbors," he said.

This motorcycle theft often occurs in the Matraman area, especially in the North Utan Kayu area.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit also appealed to residents to install additional keys on their vehicles when parking.

"For residents, they are advised to install double locks on motorbikes and if they can install secret keys. Motorcycle parking should also not be careless outside or on the side of the road," he said.

Kanit also said that residents should install CCTV cameras in their homes or neighborhoods to carry out surveillance.

"We have to install CCTV. Basically, from the CCTV we can reveal the perpetrators of the theft, it is very important to identify the perpetrators more easily," he said.

Previously, it was reported that three perpetrators of the motorcycle theft case were arrested by buser members of the Matraman Police, East Jakarta.

The three perpetrators were arrested during the theft in the North Utan Kayu (UKU) area, Matraman District, East Jakarta.

"The perpetrator was arrested from the results of the serse kring patrol.
