Vice President Gibran Reviews Markets To A Number Of Icons In Central Kalimantan

JAKARTA - Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited a number of places in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan in a series of work visits, today.

Arriving in Palangka Raya, Gibran visited Kahayan Market, SD Negeri 1 Langkai, to the new icon of Central Kalimantan, namely the Palangka Raya Roundabout accompanied by Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran.

"Earlier, as we know, he came directly to Kahayan Market, then went to elementary school for the lunch program. This is very extraordinary for this free meal program, where there is economic drive there," explained Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran, quoted from Antara, Monday, November 4.

Sugianto stated that the provincial government welcomes the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food program from the central government and is ready to support and succeed, let alone have a positive impact on the region, including from an economic perspective.

Furthermore, Sugianto said that he also had the opportunity to describe the construction of the Central Kalimantan icon, namely the Great Roundabout and the development of Green Open Space (RTH) around the area.

"He (Deputy President) asked about developments in the Great Roundabout area, as well as reminded him to maintain the quality of development," he said.

Meanwhile, the main agenda for the working visit of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran, to Central Kalimantan, is to attend and open the Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) VII of the Indonesian Civil Service Corps (Korpri) National Level on Monday night.

The National Korpri MTQ VII in Central Kalimantan was attended by around 1,700 Korpri members from 89 charters, consisting of provincial governments as well as ministries and institutions.
