Repeatedly, DPRD Asks Bogor City Government To Evaluate Tree Management Program

The incident of a fallen tree that claimed victims on Jalan Army Student on Friday, November 1 was in the spotlight of Member of Commission III of the Bogor City DPRD, Angga Alan.

He considered this incident a whip for the city government to improve and improve tree management programs.

He urged the Bogor City Government, especially the Housing and Settlement Service (Disperumkim) to conduct a thorough evaluation of the tree tagging program prone to falling.

"Every year a similar incident always happens, showing that the current program is not optimal," said Angga in Bogor City, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, November 2.

He emphasized that just giving signs to trees is not enough. However, it is necessary to provide intensive care by doing routine pruning and checking regularly.

To ensure the implementation of the program, he said Commission III of the Bogor City DPRD would encourage an increase in the budget.

"If there are technical problems or budget constraints in the implementation of this program, we encourage the government to immediately find a joint solution," he said.

Angga also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and emphasized that the safety of the residents of Bogor City is the main and most important thing so that this incident does not happen again.

"The safety of the residents of Bogor City is a shared responsibility, and must be a top priority. With the right steps, it is hoped that similar incidents will not happen again in the future," he said.

Previously, a guestwood tree on Jalan Army Student, Ciwaringin Village, Bogor City fell and hit a motorcyclist to death on Friday (1/11).

The President Director of the Bogor City Hospital, Ilham Chaidir, confirmed that the handling of the victim named Rafly (24) was entirely borne by the local municipal government.
