JAKARTA - The United States Department of Defense announced an additional $425 million worth of military aid for Ukraine.

The Pentagon said the package was the 69th equipment aid from the Biden administration provided to Ukraine since August 2021.

Launching ANTARA, Saturday, November 2, this assistance "will provide Ukraine with additional capabilities to meet the most pressing needs, including: air defense interceptors; ammunition for rocket systems and artillery; armored vehicles; and anti-tank weapons."

The announcement comes following a statement by US officials that North Korea has sent 10,000 troops to Russia in the fight against Ukraine.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Thursday that 8,000 North Korean troops are in the Kursk region, near the Ukrainian border, and are expected to engage in the fight against Ukraine in "a few days to come."
