Students Protest Urging Anies To Be Examined By KPK, Jakarta's Deputy Governor: Dear, Do Not Talk Carelessly

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria responded to a mass demonstration on behalf of the Islamic Students Association of The Organization Rescue Assembly (HMI HMO) in front of the DKI Jakarta City Hall building.

The crowd that marched on Tuesday, April 6 demanded that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) immediately examine the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedanrelated to the corruption case of the purchase of DP Rp. 0 land house.

Deputy Governor Riza invited the rally to deliver a claim. However, Riza does not want any action to attack the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta without heeding the facts and the ongoing case-checking process.

"Although the law allows us to voice aspirations including demos anywhere, including at City Hall, but please brothers and sisters to speak according to the facts and data. Don't talk carelessly," Riza said at DKI City Hall, Wednesday, April 7.

Riza claimed himself, Anies as well as the entire ranks of the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta to prevent law enforcement from corruption practices.

In fact, Riza reminded, Anies once received an anticorruption award from the Ministry of Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB) in 2019.

"Alhamdulillah, DKI Jakarta, Mr. Anies received an anticorruption award. Our efforts continue to improve to ensure that Jakarta is free from corruption," he said.

Meanwhile, KPK has announced the determination of three suspects in the case of alleged land procurement corruption in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, Cipayung, East Jakarta in 2019. Deputy Of Enforcement and Execution KPK Karyoto said, one of the suspects in the case is the former Director of Perumda Sarana Jaya Development, Yoory C Pinontoan.

This was conveyed after he was mentioned the alleged involvement of businessman Rudy Hartono in the case. As for the other two suspects, Karyoto refused to divulge details.

"That's set 3 (suspects) yes, Yoory. For the problem of Rudy Hartono (case of alleged corruption of land procurement, red.), Munjul is still a witness," Karyoto said in a press conference posted on KPK RI's YouTube account on Tuesday, April 6.
