PSI Threatens To Fire Cadres To Defect Support For Pramono-Rano

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PSI DKI Jakarta Regional Leadership Council (DPW) Elva Farhi Qolbina emphasized that he would impose sanctions on one cadre who expressed support for Jakarta cagub-cawagub number 3 Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.

This sanction will be imposed on one PSI cadre, namely Ahmad Faisal along with six political party cadres (parpol) who are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus to meet Pramono to provide support.

In fact, Elva also threatened to fire one of the cadres from the party membership led by Kaesang Pangarep.

"We have done the warning and it is possible that we will impose strict sanctions in the form of revocation of the membership card to the person concerned for using the party name for personal gain," Elva said in his statement, Thursday, October 31.

Elva emphasized that his party did not defect and continued to support pair number 1 Ridwan Kamil-Suswono in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. Thus, it is certain that the support of the one cadre is not on behalf of the party.

"PSI believes this political sabotage act will not interfere with KIM Plus's solidarity and harmony as a unit of the party supporting RIDO in Jakarta," he said.

Separately, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta PKB DPW, Hasbiallah Ilyas, emphasized that one of his cadres who supported Pramono-Rano was not a party administrator.

Hasbi assessed that Ahmad Syukri's decision, his cadres who supported Pramono-Rano clearly did not represent the party. Ahmad Syukri, according to Hasbi, supports because he is also a Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) administrator in the region.

"Pak Syukri is the NU administrator, the management of MWC NU DKI. The NU management is him. And indeed what I know is that PWNU DKI has gone to Pak Pram," said Hasbi.

Similarly, the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PPP DPW, Saiful Rachmad Dasuki, emphasized that one of his cadres who supports Pramono-Rano, Firman Abdul Hakim, will be sanctioned by the party.

"We will take firm action that is deemed necessary against those who name PPP in the Jakarta Pilkada. There are still many ways or organs that these people can play without having to carry PPP," said Saiful.

Candidates for Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta serial number 3 Pramono Anung-Rano Karno received support from 7 political party cadres who are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus. The seven politicians visited the residence to hold a closed meeting at Pramono's residence, Thursday, October 31 morning.
