Poor, Elementary School Students Sold Rp450,000 Through MiChat Application In Gading Nias Jakut Apartment

JAKARTA - Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) member Ai Mariyati will meet victims of minors with the initials AC (11). AC was saved by police from people trafficking (TPPO) at Gading Nias Tower Emerald Apartment, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta (Jakut).

"We will meet the victim, because this really hurts him," Ai said when met at the North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 7. AC is a female student who is still in the 5th grade elementary school became a victim of trafficking by suspect DF (27).

The victim was peddled at a rate of Rp450,000 by the suspect through the MiChat app. Ai, who is a member of kpai in trafficking and child exploitation, encouraged the police to reveal who the young boy's buyer was.

"We encourage the police to uncover who the buyer of this child is! Because again buyers yes, whether like it or not, on top of coercion or not, it remains a criminal act," ai said.

Ai added, KPAI appreciates the police for foiling the suspect's plan before the unintended event occurred against the victim.

Police from the Kelapa Gading Police Criminal Reserse Unit led by AKP M Fajar arrested the perpetrators at Gading Nias Residence Apartment, Emerald Tower.

From the suspect's confession to investigators, it is seen how his efforts to ensnare victims who are judged to have not been able to think carefully and economically can be said to be in a vulnerable condition because of urgent needs and so on.

"I think this typology is very much in accordance with our rules on the People Trafficking Crime Act," Ai said,

Therefore, he hopes that the case can be of concern to all parties because it really stirs anyone's conscience.

"I am sure this is where the law will stand in accordance with the capacity included in this Law," he said.

Ai also encouraged The Police Chief of North Jakarta Metro Resort Kombes Guruh Arif Darmawan to prioritize rehabilitation of air conditioning well until recovering from the trauma that may arise.

"Because the grade 5 elementary school students I think need full support and optimize monitoring of victims to get recovery after this," said Ai.

KPAI also highlighted the role of the victim's parents in the case and therefore it will await further investigation from the Investigation Team (TP) of the Women and Children's Services Unit (PPA) of the North Jakarta Metro Police.

"I will listen to the assessment from TP PPA. Because this case always begins with the typology of early childhood education," ai said.
