JAYAPURA - PT PLN Main Unit for the Papua and West Papua Region (UIWP2B) has succeeded in presenting full 24-hour electricity for 1,560 residents in 12 villages in Deiyai Regency, Central Papua.

General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) Papua and West Papua Region Main Unit, Rizky Mochamadm said this was a form of state presence through PLN in ensuring fair electricity for the community.

"The 12 villages are Ayathe, Digibagata, Widuwakya, Wagomani and Epanai in East Tigi District, as well as Ipoke, Dagokebo, Kokbaya, Dakebo, Waitakota, Wagumoma and Edogotadi in West Tigi District," Rizky said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 31.

According to Rizky, electricity is currently the basic need for the whole community.

"By building a 16.95 kilometer medium voltage network (JTM), a 19.86 kms low voltage network (JTR) and 9 substation units with a total capacity of 600 kVA, the electricity needs of thousands of people can be met," he said.

Meanwhile, Deiyai Deputy Regent, Ayub Pigome, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the growing development in Deiyai, especially in the electricity system.

"We believe that with this, the economic system will grow and the welfare of the community will improve gradually," he said.

According to Ayub, in the future his party will continue to build cooperation and collaboration with PLN in electrifying Deyai Regency for the better.

"We are proud because now the lighting is running, in the future, we will continue to oversee the development so that all villages can enjoy electricity," he said.

He explained that in principle the government continues to be committed to supporting and assisting the development of electricity in Deiyai.
