Alleged BPK Auditor Asks For IDR 12 Billion At The SYL Session To Be Investigated By KPK Investigators

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said investigators were investigating the facts of a trial that revealed that a Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) auditer asked the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) for money. This request is to provide an unqualified audit opinion (WTP).

This allegation was in the spotlight after it was revealed at the trial of former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

"Investigators are investigating," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Saturday, October 26.

Even so, Tessa has not spoken about the follow-up to the facts of the trial. Including the question of the possibility of opening new cases.

"Just wait," he said.

As previously reported, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) is said to have asked Rp12 billion to issue an Unqualified Predicate (WTP) for the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan). However, the ministry only agreed to Rp5 billion.

This was revealed based on the statement of the Secretary of the Directorate General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), Hermanto, who was a witness in the trial of the alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities with the defendants Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Kasdi Subagyono, and Muhammad Hatta.

"No, we don't fulfill it. I heard it wasn't fulfilled. I heard maybe it wasn't wrong about Rp. 5 billion or what. What I heard," said Hermanto, who was present as a witness at the trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Wednesday, May 8.
