Confession Of Suspected Terrorists Sympathizers Of FPI, Police: It's No Longer A Secret, Densus 88 Will Be Investigated

JAKARTA - Densus 88 Antitetor Polri will investigate the confessions of suspected terrorists who were arrested in Jakarta and its surroundings. The suspected terrorist claimed to be a sympathizer of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI).

"I think it is no longer a secret, what is in the public (admission of suspected terrorists) and of course will be explored by Densus 88," said Karo Penmas of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, to reporters, Tuesday, April 6.

However, Rusdi did not explain the confession of the suspected terrorists. Only affirmed that all things will be explored.

"Of course it is an input for Densus 88 to solve the problem," he said.

The confessions of the suspected terrorists were in the form of video recordings and circulated on social media. Some of them, namely Ahmad Juniadi and Bambang Setiono.

In the video, Ahmad Juniadi admits that he often participates in Rizieq Shihab's recitation. In fact, the suspected terrorist who was arrested in the East Ciputat area regularly participates in recitation led by Husein Hasni in Condet, East Jakarta.

"I am Ahmad Junaidi, a member of FPI sympathizers, since Habib Rizieq returned to Indonesia and I have also joined the recitation congregation under the leadership of Habib Husein Hasni Condet and it is held every Friday night to take turns to the homes of all members of the recitation congregation," said Ahmad Junaidi. .

Meanwhile, Bambang Setiono admitted to being an FPI sympathizer since December 2020. Bambang Setiono was arrested at a mall in the Pademangan Kawasam, North Jakarta.

"I Bambang Setiono has been a sympathizer for FPI since early December 2020. (His role) is to make material from black powder from Zulaimi Agus in Sukabumi. Planning an attack on the gas station with Molotov cocktails to demand that HRS be free," said Bambang.
