Turkish Aerospace Headquarters Terrorist Attack TUSAS Kills 4 People, 14 Others Injured

Four people were killed and 14 injured in an attack on a Turkish aerospace company, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS). The witness heard gunshots and loud explosions at the location near Ankara.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said two dead attackers called terrorist attacks, and three injured people were in critical condition.

The television station previously broadcast footage of armed attackers entering the Turkish military aircraft factory building, TUSAS.

Two terrorists were successfully paralyzed in a terror attack on the TUSAS site Ankara Kahramankazan. Unfortunately, there were 3 people who were martyred and 14 people were injured in the attack," Yerlikaya said as quoted by Reuters, Wednesday, October 23.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, together with Vladimir Putin of Russia at a BRICS conference in the Russian city of Kazan, also called it a terrorist attack.

The causes and perpetrators of the explosion as well as the next shootout are still unclear. No group has claimed responsibility. Prosecutors have launched an investigation, reports Anadolu Agency managed by the government.

Several media reports claim suicide attacks and hostages inside the building, although officials have not confirmed this.

Witnesses told Reuters employees inside the building were taken by authorities to shelters and no one was allowed out for several hours.

They said the explosion they heard might have occurred at a different exit when employees were on their way home from work that day.
