Previously, the price of corn per kilogram was Rp. 4,000, now before the new year the price is around Rp. 6,000 per kilogram. The increase in corn prices is due to minimal supplies. However, nowadays, interested in celebrating the new year with the tradition of burning corn has begun to decrease. Many people choose to celebrate New Year's Eve by burning sausage or meatballs. The decline in corn buyers was revealed by one of the corn traders at Kramat Jati Market, Jakarta.
