Prabowo Reminds His Cabinet To Move Fast: Don't Be Proud To Be A Member Of The G20 If The People Are Still Poor And Hungry

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto asked the ranks of the Red and White Cabinet he leads to carry out their duties wisely to realize the general welfare of the Indonesian people.

According to him, it is important for the Ministers, Heads of Agencys, and Heads of Institutions to prepare effective policies considering that many Indonesians are still experiencing difficulties due to poverty and hunger.

"I have said many times that an independent country must feel independence. Don't be proud to be a member of the G20, if many of our people are still poor, there are still many who are hungry," Prabowo said at the First Plenary Cabinet Session at the President's office, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 23.

Therefore, for the Ministers, Heads of Institutions, and Heads of Bodies even though they have just been inaugurated, they are asked to work quickly to develop programs and plans, as well as a new team to accelerate the work on tasks to complete priority programs.

In particular, for the new Ministry and Agency, Prabowo advised officials who are trusted to lead these institutions to independently prepare their teams to work well.

"Especially for the new ministers, please consolidate yourself, manage yourself as quickly as possible. The administration of you and your team in your respective ministries and agencies. Team preparation is very important, a good team, a team that can cooperate will make it easier for us to achieve the targets that we have determined," said Prabowo.

In the preparation of the Red and White Cabinet, Prabowo Subianto prepared 48 ministries. He felt it was natural to reflect on the fact that Indonesia is the country with the fourth most population in the world.

This number is obtained from the breakdown of nine existing ministries from the previous period, there were 22 new ministries created in the Prabowo Subianto era.

Finally, there are five new agencies formed to accelerate the performance of existing ministries and institutions, the new agencies include the Special Development and Investigation Control Agency; The Hajj Organizing Agency; Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency; The Agency for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction; and the Halal Guarantee Organizing Agency.
