Palestinians trapped in three cities in northern Gaza Beit Lahiya, Jabalya and Beit Hanoun have recounted a terrible incident over the past two weeks.
Nearly 600 people were killed, according to Basal, after the IDF launched a new attack on October 5 targeting Hamas in the region.
Residents say they cannot get enough food for their families, as the Israeli siege has drained important supplies in the region. Meanwhile, medical staff at local health facilities, including Kamal Adwan Hospital, warned they were having difficulty treating injured patients because they did not have enough fuel, food, or medicine.
The severe shortage of aid in northern Gaza has hampered efforts to restore injured Palestinians, or help bury the dead, according to Philippe Lazzarini, head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).
