JAKARTA. - Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency (BPJPH) Haikal Hassan stated that he would immediately carry out "shopping for problems" related to the issue of guaranteeing halal products.

"So the most important thing is learning. Learning for one day, how has it been like all this time," Haikal said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 22.

Haikal, who is familiarly called Babeh Haikal, will soon visit the relevant agencies to coordinate regarding halal products.

"How many million per day are registered, and how many million products enter our mouths we must examine, we must observe," he explained.

He emphasized that halal certificates are a must to ensure halal products.

"What is a product? Yes, all products. Food, drinks, cosmetics, medicine, and everything. Even fashion. Even those attached to the body. That's what we will examine, we observe, we (test) the lab, that it must be halal toyyiban. Halal and good," he said.

Haikal Hassan was inaugurated as Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency based on Presidential Decree No. 74/M of 2024 concerning the Appointment of the Head and Deputy Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency.

Haikal was accompanied by Afriansyah Noor as Deputy Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Administration Agency.
