Deputy Governor Riza: Jakarta Is The Quickest To Implement Vaccinations

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said that his province is the fastest to meet the target recipients of COVID-19 vaccination in Indonesia.

"Regarding vaccines, the target from the central government is made for the sake of acceleration. To be honest, in Jakarta this is the fastest progress in implementing vaccinations", said Riza at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 5 evening.

DKI has a target of vaccination phase 1 and 2 priority as many as 3,000,689 people. Until now, vaccination dose 1 has been injected into 1,352,341 people or 45.1 percent of the target and the total vaccination dose 2 now reaches 498,072 people 16.6 percent.

"To be honest, DKI Jakarta has been extraordinary, very fast. The doses we have fulfilled are 1,833,698. This is a total of one and two doses", said Riza.

Meanwhile, the current number of vaccinator officers is 3,110 people. Then, there are 511 vaccination implementation health facilities such as hospitals and Puskesmas (Public Center Health).

That way, Riza, the DKI Provincial Government, will soon exceed the vaccination target. However, this does take time because the process is gradual. Vaccination registration, which should have been done online, has not been maximized, so now it is manual.

"We will try to do this in the next two weeks, hopefully, we can catch up. We try to do it as quickly as possible. In principle, DKI Jakarta will try various ways with existing capabilities", he said.

It is known, in phase 1 vaccination targeting the first dose of health workers has been carried out to 121,850 people (108.5 percent) and the second dose of vaccination includes 105,514 people (94 percent), with a vaccination target of 112,301 people.

Meanwhile, in phase 2 of the elderly group, the first dose of vaccination was carried out for 488,136 people (53.5 percent) and the second dose of vaccination included 83,786 people (9.2 percent), with a vaccination target of 911,631 people.

In phase 2 with the public service group, the first dose of vaccination was administered to 742,355 people (37.6 percent) and the second dose of vaccination included 308,776 people (15.6 percent), with a vaccination target of 1,976,757 people.
