Cianjur Police Arrest 4 Perpetrators Of Cross-City Sadistic Robbery

The Cianjur Police, West Java, arrested four trans-city sadistic robbers, namely A alias Odong (24), ATA (20), FF (18) and ARS (34) residents of Ciranjang District.

Karangtengah Police Chief Kompol Rachmat Hamdan said the arrest of a gang of robbers who were notorious for being sadistic often abused their victims, one of which happened to a woman on Jalan Lingkar Timur Cianjur.

"The perpetrator did not hesitate to injure his victim when fighting, including when carrying out his actions on the East Ring Road, the victim was held at gunpoint, while the other perpetrator took away a motorbike," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 18.

However, a number of road users were caught trying to contact the police and chase the perpetrators, until finally an ARS perpetrator was arrested and taken to the Karangtengah Police.

From the results of the examination and development, officers were deployed to arrest three other perpetrators in a house in Cibiuk Village, Ciranjang District along with evidence in the form of 5 motorbikes, sharp weapons of the type of machete and other evidence.

"Without a fight, the three perpetrators were arrested three hours after the first perpetrator was arrested, they had been hiding in the roof of the house," he said.

The results of random examinations, the four perpetrators admitted that they not only often acted in Cianjur, but across cities such as Cimahi, Karawang and Purwakarta, where the stolen goods were sold to a number of areas in southern Cianjur, Sukabumi and Bogor.

"Stolen motorbikes are sold by cash on delivery (COD) to a number of areas including to southern Cianjur, where the perpetrators sold 3 stolen motorbikes to buyers," he said.
