JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said there were groups that would hold an action during the inauguration process of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as President and Vice President for the 2024-2029 period.

According to him, the Bhayangkara Corps has monitored the movement of these groups.

"But on the other hand, there are groups that we monitor that will carry out action activities," Sigit told reporters after the Security Preparedness Ceremony at the National Monument (Monas), Jakarta, Friday, October 18.

In addition, there are also groups that support the inauguration process in the form of praying.

It is known that during the Prabowo-Gibran inauguration process, a 'people' party will be held along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin. A total of 13 stages will enliven the inauguration process of the President and Vice President for the period 2024-2029.

"Of course there are those who take part in welcoming the inauguration plan, including perhaps praying for it," he said.

Therefore, continued Sigit, the National Police and the TNI continue to work and coordinate to prevent or minimize disturbances.

In the security scheme, at least 15,000 joint TNI-Polri personnel and the Regional Government (Pemda) were deployed.

In addition, 8 task forces (tasks) were also formed. However, the name and function of the task force were not detailed. "Of course, in this security it is divided into 8 task forces," said Sigit.

Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka will be sworn in as President and Vice President for the period 2024-2029 at the MPR-DPR Building on October 20, 2024.
