Founded by Betawi religious and intellectual leaders, FBR has a vision to build a united and competitive Betawi community, while upholding Islamic values.

The marginalization of the Betawi community itself has been going on for a long time, the roots can be traced since the colonial period until now. This process not only has an impact on the demographic aspect, but also culturally.

Although in 1930 the Betawi tribe dominated Jakarta, over time, massive migration from various regions has changed the composition of the city's population.
