Accident In Marunda Cilincing Involves Five Vehicles

Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasat Lalu) of the North Jakarta Police, Kompolur Bagus Wibisono, stated that the accident of a number of large vehicles at the North Jakarta Marunda Cilincing Access involved five vehicles and caused the road to experience long traffic jams.

"A total of five vehicles were involved in the accident that occurred at around 17.00 WIB," said North Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Head Kompolatur Bagus Wibisono as quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 17, 2024.

He said that initially the trailer vehicle driven by D drove from east to west, precisely at the derivative of the Cilincing Flats Bridge. The car hit the car in front of it in a row.

The car that was hit was a trailer driven by AGP and a trailer car carried by AYM and a trailer car driven by the Navy.

Then the car that AGP was carrying was pushed into itself and hit the car driven by WH who was driving beside the car.

"Alhamdulillah, there were no casualties in the accident," he said.

According to him, the first thing he did was evacuate vehicles from the road which caused long traffic jams.

"The road in this location is narrow, so we evacuated the car to Kebon Baru in front of the Cilincing Traffic Unit," he said.

According to him, even though the evacuation and traffic flow have been carried out, the impact of the accident is still happening at that location.

"We are breaking the traffic jam so that this lane can be crossed by vehicles again because this is for the benefit of road users," he said.
