Leading The Plenary Session, Puan Sahkan 13 DPR Commissions, Adding 1 Body And Composition Of Factions

JAKARTA - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, chaired the DPR Plenary Meeting to ratify the number of Council Apparatus (AKD) for the 2024-2029 period. The DPR agreed to add 2 new commissions to 13 commissions, and there was an addition of 1 new body.

The ratification of the number of AKDs was held in the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the First Session Period of the 2024-2025 Session Year, the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 15.

The agreement on the number of AKDs, the number and composition of faction membership at AKD, as well as the number and composition of the factions in the AKD leadership were the result of the DPR leadership meeting (Rapim) and a consultation meeting (Rakonsul) with 8 factions on Monday, October 14, yesterday.

Apart from Puan as Chair, there are 4 deputy chairmen of the DPR with the duties and coordinators that have been determined. Namely, Adies Kadir was agreed to be the Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating House for Economics and Finance (Ekkeu), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad as Deputy Chair of the Coordinating House for Political Affairs and (Polhukam).

Furthermore, Saan Mustopa as Deputy Chair of the Coordinating House for Industry and Development, as well as Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal was agreed as Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating House for People's Welfare (Kesra).

Puan explained, in accordance with the provisions of Article 83 paragraph (1) of Law Number 2 of 2018 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 17 of 2014 concerning the MPR, DPR, DPRD and DPD jo. Article 23 of the DPR RI Regulation on Order,

The DPR's Apparatus consists of the DPR Leadership, the Deliberative Body (Bamus), commissions, Legislation Body (Baleg), Budget Agency (Banggar), the State Financial Accountability Agency (BAKN), the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP), the Council's Honorary Court (MKD), the Household Affairs Agency (BURT), the special committee (Pansus), and the Iain equipment needed and formed by the DPR Plenary Meeting.

"Based on the above provisions, the Consultation Meeting of the DPR leadership and the leadership of the DPR RI factions on October 14, 2024, has agreed to increase the number of commissions from 11 commissions to 13 commissions, namely Commission I to Commission XIII," said Puan when asking for approval from council members regarding the ratification of the AKD.

"With that, we ask for approval in today's plenary meeting of the addition of the number of commissions to 13 commissions, can it be approved?" continued the first woman to serve as Chair of the DPR RI.

Today's plenary session also agreed to form an additional 1 agency in the DPR, namely the Community Aspiration Agency with a total and membership composition, namely the PDIP, Golkar, and Gerindra factions with 3 members each, as well as NasDem, PKB, PKS, PAN and Democrats each with 2 members.

Thus, the total members of the Community Aspiration Agency became 19 members. The number and composition of these memberships include the leadership of the Community Aspirations Agency.

In addition, it was agreed to determine the number and membership composition of the faction at the AKD. Among other things, Commission I consists of 45 members, Commission II has 44 members, Commission III and IV consists of 45 members, Commission VII and Commission VIII have 44 members, Commission IX, Commission X, and Commission XI consists of 44 members, Commission XII and XIII have 44 members, Bamus consists of 58 members, Baleg has 90 members, and Banggar 105 members.

Then 19 BAKN members, 45 BKSAP members, 17 MKD members, 25 BURT members, 30 members of the Special Committee, and 19 members of the Community Aspiration Agency.

The DPR Plenary Session also stipulates the number and composition of factions in the AKD leadership. For the number of commission leaders there are 13 Chairmen in accordance with the Commission and a total of 52 vice chairmen. Meanwhile, for Baleg, Banggar, BAKN, BKSAP, MKD, BURT, and the Community Aspiration Agency each consist of 1 chairman and 4 vice chairmen.

The total number and composition of factions in the AKD leadership totaled 20 chairmen and 80 vice chairmen.

Regarding the leadership of the faction composition in the leadership of the DPR AKD, the council agreed that the PDIP faction would get 4 chair positions and 16 deputy chairmen, Golkar 3 chairmen and 17 deputy chairmen, Gerindra 3 chairmen and 16 vice chairmen, NasDem 3 chairmen and 6 deputy chairmen, PKB 2 chairmen and 9 deputy chairmen, PKS 2 chairmen and 6 deputy chairmen, PAN 2 chairmen and 4 deputy chairmen, as well as Democrats 1 chairman and 6 deputy chairmen.

"In connection with that, we ask for approval from the Plenary Meeting on the number of Faction Compositions in the Leadership of the DPR Equipment Equipment, can it be approved?" asked Puan again.
