Plenary Session Of The House Of Representatives Approves The Establishment Of A Community Aspiration Body

JAKARTA - The DPR RI Plenary Meeting approved the addition of board equipment (AKD) by adding one body, namely the Community Aspirations Agency. One of the tasks of this agency is to accommodate the aspirations of the people who are usually conveyed in demonstrations.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, as the chair of the meeting, said that the consultation meeting of the leadership of the DPR and the leaders of the DPR RI factions on October 14, 2024, had agreed to add one agency, namely the Community Aspiration Agency. With the number and composition of membership, namely, the PDIP faction 3 people, Golkar 3 people, Gerindra 3 people, NasDem 2 people, PKB 2 people, PKS 2 people, PAN 2 people, Democrat 2 people.

"So the total number of members is 19 people. The number and composition of these memberships include the leadership of the Community Aspiration Agency," said Puan at a plenary meeting at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 15.

The task of the Community Aspiration Agency is to accommodate the aspirations of the community directly and indirectly, collect and examine the aspirations of the community, convey the results of the review to the relevant AKD to be followed up, monitor the follow-up by AKD.

Then follow up on public reports that are general in nature and do not reduce the authority of the relevant AKD, and accept the aspirations of the community in order to carry out meaningful participation in every discussion of the bill.

"In that regard, we ask for approval in today's plenary meeting of the establishment of the Community Aspirations Agency with the number and composition of the membership and duties of the Community Aspiration Agency, can it be approved?" said Puan, followed by the approval of all members of the DPR who were present.
