Prabowo's Nephew Values Rudy Soik's Dismissal Point Of Law Enforcement

JAKARTA - For DPR member Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, the dismissal of Rudy Soik from the National Police has become a setback for the institution as a law enforcement institution.

"This is a setback for law enforcement institutions. The police should give appreciation for the work of police officers such as Rudy Soik's brother, who opened many cases that hurt many people," said Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, Tuesday, October 15.

Rudy Soik was charged with violating the code of ethics because he was accused of karaoke with a woman who was not his wife, in this case, was a fellow colleague of Policewomen. Rudy clarified that the incident in question was when he and his subordinates had lunch at a restaurant which is also a karaoke place in Kupang, NTT.

The lunch as well as monitoring and evaluation after Rudy and his staff conducted raids on the activities of the mafia network's game which caused the scarcity of subsidized fuel in NTT. It is known that for some time there has been a shortage of fuel in a number of areas in NTT, where the case of smuggling subsidized fuel to Timor Leste has also been revealed.

From Rudy's findings, it is known that the mafia network consists of several levels. Starting from the existence of a collection team that gets many barcodes from government employees to buy subsidized fuel by ranking the NTT Regional Police, to subsidized fuel being sold to industry, and some of them are smuggled into Timor Leste countries.

According to Rahayu Saraswati, who is familiarly called Sara, Rudy has a good background and is known as a police officer with integrity and courage because he often uncovers important cases. Before dismantling the fuel mafia in NTT, Rudy was known to have succeeded in handling cases of trafficking in persons in Kupang.

Due to his commitment and success in handling cases of trafficking in persons in Kupang, Rudy Soik is said to often deal with people who have an interest in the trafficking business. Sara assessed that there are parties who feel threatened with Rudy's investigation because his business is disrupted.

"Sdr Rudy has a good track record in carrying out his duties as a member of the Police," he said.

Sara highlighted how the last Rudy with the rank of Ipda was transferred to another part when he revealed the case of trafficking in people in NTT. Rudy is considered to have disturbed the peace of the business Bajul Manusia. Rudy's investigation was fast and did not think that certain elements were backing up the business that violated the law was considered the reason Rudy was transferred.

However, after being transferred to a new place of duty, Rudy again made a breakthrough by dismantling the BBM mafia network which was allegedly arrested by government officials and law enforcers. What caught my attention was that Rudy was subject to disciplinary sanctions when investigating the case.

Not to mention, all members of Rudy's team who uncovered the BBM mafia case with a total of 12 people were also immediately transferred out of the Kupang Police. Now, Rudy, who was investigating the BBM mafia case, is serving as Head of Operations Development Affairs (KBO) of the Kupang Police Detective and Criminal Unit, has been dishonorably dismissed by the NTT Police.

The Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH) handed down to Rudy was based on the Professional Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial which was held on Wednesday (10/10). The NTT Police assessed that Rudy had violated procedures when investigating the fuel mafia network.

Rudy was found guilty of installing police lines at the houses of residents named Algazali Munandar and Ahmad Ansar in Kupang. Rudy suspects that both of them were involved in hoarding illegal fuel. Ahmad is a recidivist in a similar case.

In his statement, Rudy said that in the facts of the trial, Ahmad admitted to buying a subsidized diesel on June 15, 2024 using someone else's QR Code and bribing a police officer. This fact was undeniable during the trial on Wednesday (9/10).

Sara also regretted that PTDH was given to Rudy Soik. He reminded that dishonorable dismissal occurs if a member of the police commits a serious violation of the law.

"What serious violation did he commit so that he deserves to be dishonorably dismissed?" said Sara.

The legislator from the DKI Jakarta III electoral district asked the police to evaluate the decision in the dismissal of Rudy Soik. Sara also supports Rudy who will appeal the decision, especially Rudy admitted that he was under pressure and intimidation during the trial process of the NTT Police's Professional Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).

"I urge the Police, especially the Ethics team to evaluate what kind of violations so that they arrive at the dismissal," he said.

Rudy Soik himself stated that he would appeal the PTDH decision he received. Rudy did not accept being fired from the National Police institution by the NTT Police for installing a police line when investigating the BBM mafia case at a resident's house named Algazali Munandar and Ahmad Ansar in Kupang. Rudy thought that his steps were in accordance with the procedure.
