It Is Suspected That There Are Deviations In The Procurement Of PetroChina Goods And Services, Losing Rp60.4 Billion In State Money

JAKARTA - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) found a series of irregularities in the process of procuring goods and services at PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. during the 2019-2023 period with indications of state financial losses of Rp60.04 billion from seven work packages.

The report is an Investigative Examination Result Report (LHP) on Cost Recovery Components in the 2019-2023 Procurement of Goods and Services at Petrochina International Jabung Ltd. and Other Related Agencies submitted to the Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) Metro Jaya.

"Based on the examination, BPK concluded that there were allegations of irregularities committed by the parties in the process of procuring goods and services at Petrochina International Jabung Ltd. during the period 2019 to 2023. These deviations resulted in indications of state financial losses of Rp. 60.04 billion from seven work packages," said Deputy Chairman of BPK Hendra Susanto to the Metro Jaya Police Chief Karyoto in an official statement in Jakarta, quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

This examination comes from the development of initial information obtained by the BPK, as well as taking into account the Letter of the Deputy Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Regional Police on behalf of the Metro Jaya Police Chief regarding Investigation Requests.

"We hope that the Polda Metro Jaya can take advantage of the results of this investigative examination for the investigation process in question," said Hendra.

In BPK Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning Investigative Examination, Calculation of State/Regional Losses, and Giving Expert Information, it is stated that BPK carries out Investigative Examination to reveal indications of State/Regional Losses and/or Criminal Elements within the scope of state financial management and responsibility.
