Ahead Of The Inauguration Of The President And Vice President, Gibran: No Special Preparations

JAKARTA - The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) will carry out the inauguration of the elected president and vice president on Sunday, October 20. Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka said he did not have any special preparations to attend the inauguration.

"Yes, actually there is no special preparation. Pray that everything will run smoothly later," said Gibran, Monday.

Gibran thanked MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani for handing over the invitation to his inauguration directly.

"Thank you very much, sir, the leaders of the MPR RI today have taken the time to submit the invitation directly. I have received the invitation well and hopefully the inauguration will run well and smoothly," he said.

It is known that the inauguration invitation was indeed given by Muzani to Gibran who was accompanied by eight other Deputy Chairmen of the MPR. Also present were Eddy Soeparno, Edi Baskoro Yudhoyono, Lestari Moerdijat, Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul, Kahar Muzakir, Muhammad Hidayat Nur Wahid, Rusdi Kirana, and Abcandra Muhammad Akbar Supratman.

On the same occasion, Muzani said Gibran had agreed to attend the inauguration agenda.

"We have submitted the invitation and we are grateful that Mas Gibran accepted the invitation and stated that he would attend the presidential inauguration ceremony, and the vice president on Sunday at 10.00 WIB at the DPR/MPR building," said Muzani.
