BANDA ACEH - Investigators of the West Aceh Police Criminal Investigation Unit officially stopped the chili oles case experienced by a student on Monday (30/9), after reporting the case had been withdrawn by the victim's biological parents.

"This case has ended peacefully, both parties have agreed not to proceed with this case to the criminal realm," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Aceh Police, Iptu Fachmi Suciandy, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 14.

According to him, this case has been investigated after the victim's family and the head of the Islamic boarding school agreed to resolve this issue amicably without having to go through the trial process.

The process of peace in this case was also facilitated by the West Aceh Regency Government through the Dayah Education Office, as well as a number of religious organizations in the local district.

Iptu Fachmi Suciandy said that the termination of the investigation of the case was also in accordance with the Regulation of the Chief of Police (Perkap) Number 8 of 2021 concerning Restorative Justice (restorative justice).

The Perkap stipulates that criminal cases that can be resolved through restorative justice are criminal cases with losses that are not too large.

Iptu Fachmi Suciandy said investigators had also released NN from the West Aceh Police Detention Center, after previously being detained after being named a suspect.

"Currently NN is obliged to report," he added.

In this case, the parents of the students also sincerely stated that they had forgiven the actions of the perpetrator NN, always the wife of the leader of Dayah, and the perpetrator of NN had also apologized to the victim and the victim's parents.

He explained, with the settlement of the case peacefully and with restorative justice, it is hoped that it will avoid the emergence of negative stigma against Dayah institutions in West Aceh and in Aceh in general.

"The parties have met to resolve this issue together," said Iptu Fachmi Suciandy.
