Gus Ipul Is Required To Return To Be Social Minister In Prabowo-Gibran Cabinet

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs and Secretary General of PBNU Saifullah Yusuf is required to return to become Minister of Social Affairs after being summoned to the residence of the elected president Prabowo Subianto.

"Basically, Mr. President Prabowo wants all programs at the Ministry of Social Affairs to be right on target. There is no wrong target, so data consolidation is very much needed," said the man who is familiarly called Gus Ipul as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 14.

Gus Ipul became one of a number of figures summoned to Prabowo's residence. Those summoned were Prasetyo Hadi, Sugiono, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, Natalius Pigai, Yandri Susanto, Fadli Zon.

Then, Nusron Wahid, Maruarar Sirait, Abdul Kadir Karding, Wihaji, Teuku Riefky Harsya, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Arifatul Choiru Fauzi, Yassierli, Satryo Soemantri, Tito Karnavian, Zulkifli Hasan, Bahlil Lahadalia, and Abdul Mu'ti.

These figures are believed to be ministerial candidates for the new government in the future. Even the General Secretary of PP Muhammadiyah Abdul Mu'ti was clearly asked to become Minister of Basic and Secondary Education by Prabowo.

Although Gus Ipul did not want to reveal directly, the signal filling the post of the Minister of Social Affairs strengthened. Moreover, Prabowo asked himself about his readiness to help in the upcoming cabinet.

Prabowo asked Gus Ipul about the data, either for the benefit of Social Assistance or other interests, so that the assistance program was right on target.

"Ready. Anyway, we respect, appreciate, appreciate, support everything that is needed by Pak Prabowo. Everywhere is ready," he said.

Syaifullah was inaugurated as Social Minister by President Jokowi for only a month. He replaced Tri Rismaharini, who is now advancing in the 2024 Pilkada contestation.
