NTT Police Propam Explains Ipda Rudy Soik's Ethics Session Process Leads Disrespectful Dismissal

KUPANG - Head of the Professional and Security Division of the East Nusa Tenggara Police (NTT) Kombes Robert A. Sormin explained the trial process of the Police Professional Code of Ethics Commission against Ipda Rudy Soik until the decision to dismiss was issued with disrespect (PTDH).

"This case is different from before, especially because of the news on social media which highlighted the handling of cases by certain individuals," he said in Kupang as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 14.

Robert explained that his institution had checked the information circulating and the audit results showed that there was a discrepancy in the handling mechanism carried out.

"We found that the procedures that should have been followed were not carried out in accordance with existing regulations," he said.

This examination involved witnesses who provided information on the actions taken by members of the NTT Regional Police that were not in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).

Robert emphasized that the dismissal of Ipda Rudy Soik was not due to outside intervention, but because of a clear violation of the mechanism.

From the results of the Police Code of Ethics Commission hearing, it was found that Ipda Rudy Soik had received several previous sanctions, including criminal penalties.

"We want the public to understand that all these actions are based on evidence and the applicable legal process," he added.

During the trial, the witnesses also stated that the actions taken by Rudy Soik were against existing regulations.

He left the trial process when the demands were read out, thus adding to the weight of the reasons for the dismissal taken by the NTT Police.

Robert reiterated the importance of implementing a correct and transparent legal mechanism.

"We hope that this information can be well received by the public and educate about the importance of compliance with legal procedures," he said.

Meanwhile, Ipda Rudy Soik said he was forced to leave the courtroom because he was always pressured when he was present at the previous hearings.

He was not even given the opportunity to explain the series of investigations into the BBM mafia case which led to the installation of police lines

"Why didn't I attend because the trial from the first day I had conveyed it to the trial commission so that I wouldn't be pressured and intimidated by authority. However, I was really pressured when giving information at that time," said Rudy.
