The Body At The Cipinang Melayu Sluice Gate Turns Out To Be A 15-year-old Boy Who Disappeared In Kalimalang

JAKARTA - The discovery of the body of a teenager with the initials MS (15) at the ATR Cawang floodgate, Jalan Inspeksi Tarum Barat, Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta, was finally revealed by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Makassar Police.

The identity of the victim was revealed and the alleged cause of death began with two residents claiming to be looking for a missing child who allegedly drowned in the Kalimalang sect.

"So according to the testimony of a witness named Rozah, on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at around 13.00 WIB the victim said goodbye to himself to play in the water or swim on the Kalimalang red bridge with his friends," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Makassar Police, AKP Bayu when confirmed by VOI, Monday, October 14.

Then on Sunday at around 15.30 WIB, Rozah looked for the victim's whereabouts to the red bridge but could not be found.

However, according to his friends, the victim had already gone home to defecate. Rozah then contacted his family and finally looked for the victim along the Kalimalang flow.

"Had been searched throughout Kalimalang but did not find any results," he said.

At around 05.00 WIB, the victim's family came to the ATR Cawang floodgate to look for victims.

"Finally, the floodgate officers found the victim dead," he said.

Previously, a body of a teenager with the initials MS (15) was found stuck at the ATR Cawang floodgate, West Tarum Inspection Street, Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta, Monday, October 14.

It was later discovered that the victim was registered as a resident of Pangkalan Jati, RT 02/11, Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta.
