Today, Jokowi Receives Honorary Medal From The Police And Becomes An Honorary Citizen Of Brimob

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will receive a medal in honor of the security and public safety of Loka Praja Samrakshana by the National Police. Jokowi will also receive the title as an honorary citizen of Brimob.

The awarding will be held at the Mako Brimob, Depok, West Java, Monday, October 14 at 08.00 WIB. The Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko explained that the awarding of the honor medal was interpreted as an appreciation for the protection of the people.

"The honor of Loka Praja Samrakshana was given to President Joko Widodo which means 'protection of the people and the public'," he said in a statement, last Sunday.

Trunoyudo explained that the awarding of the medal on the honor of public security and safety to Jokowi was carried out on the basis of the National Police Chief's Decree Number Kep/1723/X/2024 concerning the Tanhor of Public Security and Safety.

Meanwhile, the awarding of the title of honorary Brimob resident was carried out based on the Decree of the Dankorbrimob Number Kep/114/IX/2019 concerning the Brimob tradition.

In addition, Jokowi will also give the honor of Nugraha Sakanti to the seven police work units (Satker).

"The honor mark of Nugraha Sakanti is an award for the unity within the National Police which has contributed and is beneficial for the interests of the nation and state," said Trunoyudo.

A total of seven satkers will receive honorary signs of Nugraha Sakanti 2024, namely Korbrimob Polri, Baharkam Polri, Korlantas Polri, Densus 88 Anti-Terror Police, Bareskrim Polri, Pusdokkes Polri, and Divhubinter Polri.
