Due To A Leakage, Passenger Carrier Ships On Air Island Drift

JAKARTA - The passenger carrier suffered a leak and was finally swept away in the waters of Air Island, Thousand Islands, North Jakarta. As a result, many passengers chose to jump off the ship.

North Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Officer, Disposal Of Miharja, said the incident occurred on Sunday, October 13, at 14:20 WIB.

"The ship has a leak in the waters south of Pulau Air," said Disposal in his statement, Sunday, October 13.

Disposal explained that the incident began when the ship containing 32 people drove from Pulau Air towards Payung Island, North Jakarta. However, suddenly there was a leak until the ship was finally washed away.

Luckily all passengers were evacuated, after the North Jakarta Damkar unit and Basarnas managed to save all passengers.

"All passengers were successfully evacuated," he concluded.
