TALIABU - North Maluku Police (Malut) confirmed that there was no element of sabotage related to the burning incident of the fast boat carrying North Maluku governor candidate Benny Laos at Bobong port, Taliabu Island Regency, North Maluku, Saturday, October 12, 2024.

The Head of Public Relations of the North Maluku Police, Kombes Pol Bambang Suharyono, conveyed this when confirmed Saturday night by telephone. He conveyed that the public should not be consumed by speculation information that could damage unity.

Bambang explained that the incident of the fire of the fast boat began with refueling. The police are still investigating the fire.
