Israel's Security Cabinet Holds Meeting, Will Decide Retaliatory Attacks On Iran

JAKARTA - Israel's security cabinet will convene today to make a determination regarding the country's response to Iran's ballistic missile attack.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant previously said Israel's response to Iran would be strong, precise, and most importantly "surprising".

Meanwhile, Ebrahim Rezaei, an Iranian lawmaker and spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, stressed Iran would retaliate with violence against any Israeli attack. His country may choose to target locations outside Israeli military positions.

"We have so many missiles," the spokesman warned CNN, Wednesday, October 8.

"In our latest attack on Israel, we are only targeting military sites," Rezaei said.

"There are other targets that we can achieve, and we have the ability to achieve them. Our response will be firm and tough," he added.

Rezaei has imposed attacks on Iran's interests in other countries, such as the April attack on Iran's diplomatic building in Damascus, will be seen as an attack on Iran's territory.

Rezaei said the United States should stop its military support for Israel and push it towards a ceasefire in Gaza.

"Stop weaponry and support for the Zionist regime (Israel)," he said.
