Closed Meeting Of Jokowi-Prabowo At Night, Gerindra: A Sad Story

Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani revealed the contents of the conversation in a closed meeting between President Joko Widodo and President-elect Prabowo Subianto in the City Forest by Plataran, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, October 8 evening.

Muzani said that the two discussed and told each other joy and sorrow towards the end of their term of office.

"Yes, talking normally. Mr. Jokowi's name will immediately end his presidency, and Mr. Prabowo will immediately take over continuing his leadership until it's a sad story," said Muzani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 9.

Previously, the moment of the closed meeting was uploaded by President Jokowi on his official Instagram. Jokowi conveyed that his meeting with Prabowo was for discussion while having dinner.

"Discussed casually while having dinner with the elected President, Mr. @prabowo," wrote Jokowi.

"He doesn't feel like he's having more hours," he continued.

Previously, Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said that during the meeting, Jokowi was trying to establish communication with Prabowo.

"It is true, tonight, Tuesday, October 8, 2024, there is a dinner between President Jokowi and the elected president, Mr. Prabowo Subianto in Plataran, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area. President Jokowi always maintains close and intense communication with the elected president at every opportunity, both in formal forums and informal meetings," Ari said through a written message to the media crew.

Ari said that togetherness between the two is needed to ensure a good transition of government.
