No Casualties, Fire At The Taman Sari Setiabudi South Jakarta Apartment Scorched 2 Cars

JAKARTA - The fire in the basement of the Taman Sari Setia Budi Apartment, South Jakarta, Sunday, April 4, was successfully extinguished at 10.00 WIB.

Setia Budi, Sector 7 Fire Brigade Platoon Head, Sugiri, revealed that there were no casualties in the incident.

"We reviewed that it was safe that there were no more victims, even the spot that burned down was an electric transformer room of about 4x10 meters (in the basement)," said Sugiri, Sunday, April 4.

Furthermore, Sugiri explained that the fire started from the electric transformer in the basement of the apartment located on Jalan Bek Murad Number 42 Kelurahan Karet Kuningan, Setiabudi District. The incident occurred at around 03.38 WIB.

"The suspicion is from the panel room (electric transformer) because it was hot, then the hot cable melted," he explained.

Then, the molten cable propagated around the room, burning two cars parked right around the electric transformer.

The car that caught fire, namely, a Livina car that was quite badly burned while another Honda HRV car caught fire on its rear.

"For other cars, only the Livina is quite bad and the rear HRV is safe. Everything else is safe," he said.
