Fire Of Taman Sari Setiabudi Apartment, South Jakarta, 66 People Evacuation Officer

JAKARTA - A number of residents of the Taman Sari Apartment, Setia Budi, South Jakarta, were evacuated by firefighters because the room was filled with smoke due to a fire that occurred in the basement, early Sunday, April 4.

From the information obtained, currently the apartment is still handling the evacuation of victims and reducing smoke.

"The total occupants who have been evacuated are 66 people," wrote @HumasJakFire in his official Twitter account.

South Jakarta Fire Brigade Officer Suparno revealed that 24 fire engines were deployed to the location.

Currently, the fire can be put out. The officers also continued to carry out the blackout process.

According to information, Suparno said, the sources that caught fire were transformers, generators and cars. The location of the incident was in the basement of the apartment.

"The fire was big. Some of the basement was on fire. But it didn't reach the apartment level, we couldn't go up. The one who just went up was the smoke through the emergency stairs, the smoke continued to rise, filled with smoke, residents couldn't go down and didn't dare," he explained.
