Promises To Fight For The Welfare Of The Representatives Of God, The DPR Will Re-Launch The Bill On The Position Of Judges

JAKARTA - The DPR leadership received the aspirations of the Indonesian Judge Solidarity (SHI) in a public hearing (RDPU) with Commission III of the DPR.

The DPR promised to fight for prosperity for the representatives of God through the Bill on the Position of Judges which will be discussed by the DPR for the period 2024-2029.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said the government was in a transition period so it needed caution in allocating the 2025 State Budget. Dasco also had time to call the elected President, Prabowo Subianto in a meeting with the judge today.

"Well, if there were calculations that might not be right, that's not appropriate, that's a bit understandable because this is still in the transition process. So, earlier I immediately connected it to the elected President who would continue the relay of leadership so that then things that are still considered inadequate can be stabilized, followed up to be improved according to what the elected President planned," said Dasco when closing the RDPU in the DPR Commission III room, Tuesday, October 8.

Dasco revealed that he had accompanied the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the Chairman of the Judicial Commission, to jointly fight for improving welfare for the judges.

"So after the appointment of the elected President, there were two people who fought for the fate of all of you. First, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, was accompanied by Mr. Bandi at that time to convey the condition of the Judge. Then the Chairman of the Judicial Commission, it also gave a calculation of how the judges' allowances are paid at this time," he said.

"And that is the basis for the economic team from Pak Prabowo Subianto for 2025 to reallocate the budget for one of them to meet some of the needs calculated for the judges," continued Dasco.

His party, said Dasco, also submitted aspirations to the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Law and Human Rights and the Ministry of PAN-RB.

"We, even from the DPR, do not remain silent, we also coordinate, we see calculations and we will also convey to the current and future governments how this will solve the judges' problems," said Dasco.

Dasco emphasized that the DPR's struggle will also be proven through the re-discussion of the Judge's Position Bill. He ensured that this bill would be discussed during this period of DPR session.

"And God willing, earlier we have all agreed, there are several things that we will improve, including earlier we will immediately in the new DPR period at this time to then re-launch the Judge's Position Bill," he concluded.
