National Police Chief Listyo Brings Good News From NTT, 70 Percent Of Members Have Been Vaccinated With COVID-19

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that some members of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

He conveyed this when he reviewed the vaccination process and conventional plasma donors at the NTT Regional Police during a series of working visits to Eastern Indonesia.

"Currently, 70 percent of the members of NTT Regional Police have received the vaccine," Listyo said as quoted from his written statement, Saturday, April 3.

He explained, the NTT Regional Police received a quota of COVID-19 vaccination of 200 thousand doses. Meanwhile, the number of members who have been vaccinated has reached 150 thousand.

On that occasion, Listyo also witnessed convalescent plasma donors from members of the police who survived COVID-19. Therapy with blood plasma can accelerate healing for people who have contracted the coronavirus.

"So of course this can help speed up the healing of our brothers and sisters who are infected with the coronavirus", said the former Head of Criminal Investigation of the National Police.

Listyo encouraged the Ministry of Health as the leading sector to allocate more vaccines to NTT Province. This is because NTT is one of the premium tourist locations.

"Of course, this (vaccination) needs to be intensified, so that tourism can stretch and come back to life", said the four-star general.

In this activity, Listyo also visited several places not only the NTT Regional Police. The former Banten Police Chief also visited the Catholic Church of Santo Yoseph Naikoten Kupang together with the Forum for Religious Harmony (FKUB) and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkompimda) NTT.
