Kuningan Police Traffic Unit, West Java investigated a traffic accident that killed four victims on the tourist route of Setianegara Village, Cilimus District, Kuningan on Sunday (6/10) afternoon.

"This accident occurred at around 15:40 WIB, which involved a black pickup with police number B-9295-SAK," said Head of Traffic at the Kuningan Police, AKP Sigit Suhartanto, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 7.

He explained that this accident began when the car driven by S (61), a resident of Setianegara Village, lost control on the downhill road and stuck on the route.

The vehicle, he said, immediately hit the wall of the road divider and finally plunged into a ravine 28 meters deep.

Sigit said that as a result of the incident, three people died at the scene, while another victim died while receiving treatment at the hospital.

Based on data, the victims who died at the scene were S (56), TS (52) and SP (48), residents of Jatimerta Village, Gunungjati District, Cirebon Regency.

The victim's body was immediately taken to 45 Kuningan Hospital and has been buried in his native area in Cirebon. Meanwhile, the driver, S (61), died while undergoing treatment at Linggajati Hospital," he said.

He said that apart from the death toll, four other passengers were injured, namely SM (50), JN (51) and NR (47) who are currently still being treated intensively at the hospital.

"Other passengers, SS (31), residents of Harjamukti Village, Harjamukti District, Cirebon City, only suffered minor injuries and have been allowed to go home," said Sigit.
