Except For Jakarta, Most Areas In The Country Rain Today

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most areas in Indonesia have the potential to be hit by rain, ranging from light rain to rain accompanied by lightning or lightning on Monday, October 7.

BMKG forecaster Bagas Briliano in the BMKG Weather Forecast video, as monitored through the BMKG YouTube channel in Jakarta, Monday morning said that light rain has the potential to occur in 12 areas.

"These areas include Aceh; Padang, West Sumatra; Pekanbaru, Riau; Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung Islands; Serang, Banten; and Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB)," he said.

Next are Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan; Samarinda, East Kalimantan; Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi; Gorontalo; Ternate, North Maluku; and Manokwari, West Papua.

Then, moderate-intensity rain is predicted to flush 10 areas, namely Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands; Jambi; Bengkulu; Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan; Pontianak, West Kalimantan; and Palu, Central Sulawesi.

Furthermore, rain with intensity is also predicted to flush Sorong, West Papua; Nabire, Papua; Ambon, Maluku; and Jayawijaya, Papua Mountains.

"Meanwhile, heavy rain or rain accompanied by lightning / illumination has the potential to occur in Mamuju, West Sulawesi; Manado, North Sulawesi; Jayapura, Papua; and Merauke, Papua," he said.

Then, BMKG also predicts two areas that have the potential to be hit by fog or foggy weather conditions, namely Palembang, South Sumatra and Lampung.

There is also the potential for thick cloudy weather conditions in six areas, namely Jakarta, Bandung, West Java; Semarang, Central Java; DI Yogyakarta; Surabaya, East Java, and Makassar, South Sulawesi.

"Then it is clear until cloudy, it is predicted that BMKG will occur in Denpasar, Bali and Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT)," said Bagas.

According to him, the weather information is a general picture of the weather in each region in Indonesia. Bagas said the public could find out the latest information that had been updated every three hours on the BMKG Info application.
