Hezbollah Rocket Attacks Cause Severe Damage In North Israel, Firefighters Fight Fires

JAKARTA - Israeli police reported severe damage in northern Israel following the Hezbollah rocket attack. The Israeli military said about 20 rocket projectiles were identified across Israeli territory from Lebanon.

Police officials received reports of several locations affected by rocket fire at Kiryat Shmona and Ruler Bawah, with severe damage reported.

Several fires occurred but no casualties were reported. Police officers and a bomb disposal team were at the scene of the attack.

The fire brigade team is working to extinguish the fire that broke out after a direct attack on the garage in Kiryat Shmona, according to a statement from the Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters operate to extinguish fires that occurred at the scene, prevent fire expansion to nearby buildings and search for injured people, the statement said.

The attack came after warning sirens at Kiryat Shmona and the surrounding community.

Hezbollah said it was targeting Kiryat Shmona with rocket attacks to defend Lebanon and its people, and in response to Israel's barbaric attacks on cities, villages, and civilians.
