The Garut Regency Government in building the two schools collaborated with the Bakti Barito Foundation in collaboration with the Kitabisa Foundation, and Star Energy which agreed to complete the reconstruction of two schools affected by the earthquake, namely SD Negeri Barusari 3, and 4 in Pasirwangi District.

The existence of concern from the foundation and Star Energy, he said, has helped local governments in resolving areas affected by the earthquake, including building schools so that they can be reused for teaching and learning activities.

"I think this is very important for us, in the condition of limited budget for us, thank God the Bakti Barito Foundation is ready to fully build," he said.

The school construction plan, he said, had been discussed together with the foundation, starting from its preparation and also regulations that must be prepared by the local government before construction begins.

The Garut Regency Government will prepare regulations that underlie school reconstruction such as issuing letters for dismantling permits for two schools, so that the foundation will immediately carry out the construction process.

"Only permits to unload from us come out, after that, together with the community to demolish, to dismantle the building, after it is sterile, they will do the work," he said.

As a result of the development discussion, the foundation agreed to build one school for one month, and for the two schools it was targeted that two months had been completed.

For other schools, he continued, the plan is to propose an improvement to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) so that it can be realized as soon as possible.

"Actually, we have 21 elementary schools that are a bit problematic in the areas affected by the earthquake, but thank God the two have been completed," he said.
