Promise Of DPR Leaders To Work Solidly So That People More Trust In Senayan Politicians

The four deputy chairmen of the DPR will accompany Puan Maharani as Chair of the DPR. The leaders of the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 period are ready to work solidly in order to increase people's trust in legislative institutions.

The determination of the leadership of the DPR was held at the Plenary Meeting of the Opening of the First Session of the 2024-2025 Session Year, on Tuesday (1/10/2024) afternoon. At this Plenary Meeting, the DPR chose and appointed the leadership of the DPR where Puan Maharani from the PDI-P faction (PDIP) was also re-elected as Chair of the DPR.

In the Plenary Meeting, the council also approved the determination of 4 deputy chairmen (Waka) of the DPR for the period 2024-2029. They are Sufmi Dasco Ahmad (Gerindra Faction), Adies Kadir (Golkar Faction), Saan Mustopa (NasDem Faction), and Cucun Ahmad Syamsurizal (PKB Faction). Determination of the board's equipment (AKD) and its leadership will be discussed on the agenda of the next DPR.

"If I, as the new vice chairman, am ready to join the specifications first with the seniors first, as juniors. What is certain is that I have the rules of how to maintain the achievements of the leadership yesterday which was quite extraordinary, "said Cucun in a press conference of the elected DPR leadership after the Plenary Meeting.

Cucun said he was ready to support, contribute and collaborate so that the DPR could work for the people better.

"We are ready to follow what is now solid, to improve it to be even more solid," said the legislator from the West Java II electoral district.

Meanwhile, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said that the leadership of the DPR together with all members of the council for this period would try to pay off debts to the people by completing programs that had not been completed from the previous DPR period.

"First, we have to pay off debts to the people for programs that have not been completed," said Dasco.

The legislator from the Banten III electoral district also ensures that the current DPR will carry out various innovations to support the performance and work of the council. Of course, said Dasco, this is for the advancement of Indonesia.

"Secondly, we will improve the performance of the DPR and make new breakthroughs for the good and progress of the nation and state," he said.

On the other hand, Saan Mustopa stated that he was ready to maintain and increase people's trust in the DPR as directed by Puan in her speech. In addition, the DPR for the 2024-2029 period is also said to have to improve performance with the spirit of togetherness.

"As emphasized earlier in the speech at the beginning of the session by the Chairperson, of course this must be a joint commitment. So increasing trust in the DPR is very important," said Saan.

"And I, of course, as a member and deputy chairman of the new DPR, will come together to maintain and improve performance with the spirit of togetherness of the DPR," he added.

Complementing the commitment of the other 3 deputy chairmen of the DPR, Adies Kadir ensured that the leadership of the DPR was ready to support all members of the current council in continuing the success of the DPR in the previous period. Including the success of Puan and Dasco in leading the DPR in the 2019-2024 period.

"What we saw five years ago was that many interests and the community have been conveyed and distributed," said Adies.

"Of course, personally and the Golkar Party, the Golkar Party faction supports all activities rather than leaders who support the welfare of the people throughout Indonesia," he concluded.
