As A Member Of The House Of Representatives, Nafa Urbach Affirms Not Only A Promise To The People But Also God

JAKARTA - DPR member Nafa Urbach emphasized that the oath/promise of members of the DPR/DPD/MPR for the 2024-2029 period was not just a promise to the community, but also to God.

"So there is a bit of a burden, but there is a little excitement, fun, and happyaja, excited," Nafa said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 1.

Nafa Urbach said there were a number of issues that he focused on when he was a member of the council for the next five years, namely culture, tourism, and education.

"Because so far there have been several discussions that we have discussed," he said.

He said the issue of education was of concern because it was related to the development of human resources, so some things needed to be reviewed.

"From the curriculum, from the zoning of school places, school buildings from elementary, junior high, high school must exist, and from the Sisdiknas Law (Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System) it is also necessary," he said.

Meanwhile, related to public distrust of the performance of celebrities who are members of the council, he asked the public to wait for their performance.

Moreover, he targets to be placed in Commission X of the DPR with a scope of education, research, sports, and tourism.

"We'll see what will happen in the future. After all, there are so many celebrity friends who are members of the council, their performance is also extraordinary, right. So, actually we can't tell you now. So, we'll just have to wait and see what our performance looks like in the future," he explained.
