Encourage Security And Development At Borders, Provincial Government Strengthens Synergy With Forkopimda

TANJUNG CELLOR Pjs. The Governor of Kaltara Togap Simangunsong held a warm meeting with the Kaltara Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

This meeting became a strategic momentum to discuss concrete steps to maintain regional order in Kaltara. At the same time spurring the wheels of regional development and strengthening synergies in order to create a changing Kaltara, Maju Dan, Sejahtera as a border area.

Togap Simangunsong mentioned the importance of synergizing with all elements of government and security. Mainly, in border areas that are prone to various strategic issues. "Kaltara is Indonesia's front homepage. Synergy between us is the key to maintaining security, encouraging development, and ensuring the welfare of our society," he said, Tuesday, October 1.

As a region directly adjacent to Malaysia, Togap highlighted a number of challenges such as smuggling and cross-border crimes that require serious attention. Therefore, he asked Forkopimda to continue to increase cooperation in maintaining border security, as well as taking firm action against all forms of illegal activity.

"We must not be careless. The Kaltara border area is very strategic, and the challenges we face require a quick and precise response," he explained.

Apart from security issues, the meeting discussed the acceleration of regional development. As a new province, Kaltara has great potential, especially in terms of natural resources and its strategic location.

Therefore, Togap encourages Forkopimda to work together in overcoming infrastructure challenges, accessibility, and economic equity in remote areas. "Security is the foundation, but development is the main engine that will move the welfare of our society. We must work quickly and effectively," he explained.

He hopes that the synergy between the government, TNI, Polri, and other elements of society will be stronger, making Kaltara a province that is not only safe, but also prosperous and highly competitive at the national level.

At the end of the event, the atmosphere of familiarity was felt when regional leaders exchanged views in a relaxed session, showing that this close collaboration would be the main asset in building better North Kalimantan.
