Jibom Polda Central Java Combs 14 Churches In Solo City Ahead Of Easter Mass, Aisle And Corner Examined Thoroughly

SOLO - The Bomb Squash Team (Jibom) of the Central Java Police Mobile Brigade (Central Java) has carried out searches for dangerous or suspicious items in 14 churches that carry out face-to-face Easter services in Solo City.

Jibom officers divided into two teams. The first team examined seven churches in the southern to western parts of Solo, including St. Paulus Kleco Laweyan Church, Manahan Banjasari Church, St. Petrus Gendengan Laweyan Church, GKJ Joding Serengan, GKI Danukusuman Serengan, San Inigo Church Pasar Kliwon, and GBI Gading.

The second team examined the church from the east to the north of Solo City. Among others, the Margoyudan Church, the GUPDI Church, the Kliwon Market Penabur Church, the Pasar Kliwon ST Antonius Purbayan Church, the Kepunton Jebres Church, the Elsaday Jebres Church, and the SP Maria Regina Jebres Church.

"The Jibom team inspects 14 churches before the Easter service in Solo, starting at 10.00 WIB and will be completed until Thursday night. The 14 churches, worship activities start on Friday morning until evening," said Head of Operations Division of the Surakarta Police, Kompol I. Ketut Sukarda dollai Antara, Thursday, April 1.

Apart from face-to-face mass, church security that is held online is also protected by officers, namely the Coyudan and Sangkrah Churches. "We hope that the Easter service in Solo will remain conducive, safe, comfortable and smooth," he said.

Team I Jibom lowered three personnel upon arrival at the St. Paulus Kleco Laweyan Church in Solo and immediately coordinated with the Surakarta Police and church administrators to carry out sweeping from corners to the hallways of the church room.

Jibom officers with metal detectors checked the places one by one until the hidden rooms in the church section so that they did not escape the supervision of the officers.

"Examination by means of a metal detector, all lines, corners and aisles are checked. Do not let spaces be able to place suspicious items or objects that escape the surveillance of officers," said Team I Head of Jibom Brimob Polda Central Java Iptu Maruto Jono.

In addition, the Jibom team will hold mobile patrols on Easter Day. However, there were also officers on guard at Security Posts in churches until Sunday, April 4.
