MAGELANG - The Lima Gunung Ke-23 Festival is closed lively with the presentation of Kirana from local artists. This festival itself was held in Keron Hamlet, Krogowanan Village, Sawangan District, Magelang Regency, Central Java, which was closed on Sunday 29 September.

Kirana began with carrying trophies from the Jakarta Academy, then mountains of produce, and artists who performed at the festival.

Chairman of the Committee for the Lima Gunung Festival (FLG) Sujono said that the 23rd FLG had taken place on September 25-29 which was attended by around 130 art groups.

According to him, the FLG previously lasted for three days by presenting 60 art groups, but in the 23rd FLG it lasted five consecutive days.

"There are quite a lot of registrants to appear in the 23rd FLG, finally agreed by the Five Mountain Community and the local committee that the FLG will be held for five days," he said.

He said that FLG has always been independent that the five mountains educate how to become independent artists, how to not depend on government costs.

"How this people's art continues, in the five mountains it actually educates like that," he said.

He said that for financing the activity, all contributions were from the community.

"For the transit of makeup around 30 houses, lodging around 20 houses, the community voluntarily provides it. If a transit artist is actually given water, that's okay, but in their development of being fed, I would like to thank the residents of Keron Hamlet, beyond the suspicion of enthusiastically welcoming this FLG,"
